Los ataques israelíes contra hospitales en la Franja de Gaza, que provocan la muerte de civiles y destrucción, deberían ser investigados como crímenes de guerra, manifestó la organización internacional de derechos humanos Human Rights Watch (HRW).

 

Según la ONG, ninguno de los argumentos presentados por los militares israelíes justifica privar a hospitales y ambulancias de su protección. Se añade que ya el 10 de noviembre, la mitad de los hospitales de Gaza estaban fuera de servicio. Las clínicas carecen de los equipos y medicamentos más sencillos, por lo que los heridos tienen que ser operados sin anestesia.

 

La ogranización subrayó que muchos pacientes se encuentran en estado grave porque no pueden recibir la atención médica necesaria. Al mismo tiempo, HRW afirmó que los grupos palestinos debían dejar de utilizar a civiles como escudos humanos.

"Unos 450 pacientes fueron evacuados, mientras unos 120 se quedaron por estar inmóviles", señala Al Jazeera, citando a Munir al Boursh, director general de la oficina del Ministerio de Salud en Gaza.

 

Al menos cinco médicos permanecen en el hospital para atender a los pacientes.

 

Previamente, el medio informó que las Fuerzas de Defensa de Israel (FDI) dieron una hora al personal de Al Shifa para evacuar el centro médico, la información fue rechazada por los militares israelíes en su canal de Telegram.

 

Desde las FDI explicaron que accedieron a la petición del director del hospital y permitieron que varias personas evacuaran por un corredor seguro, mientras que el personal de Al Shifa permanecerá para atender a los pacientes que no puedan ser evacuados.
